Author, Bipolar Faith: a Black Woman's Journey with Depression and Faith

Monica A. Coleman is the author Bipolar Faith: a Black Woman’s Journey with Depression and Faith and six other books that address the role of faith in social and philosophical issues. An ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she brings her experiences in evangelical Christianity, black church traditions, global ecumenical work, and indigenous spirituality to her discussions of faith and justice. She is Professor of Africana Studies and Coordinator of the African American Public Humanities Initiative at University of Delaware.
