Emiliana Simon-Thomas, PhD is the Science Director at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center. Trained in neuroscience and social psychology, she oversees research fellowships, directs key science initiatives like "Expanding the Science and Practice of Gratitude", and leads courses and trainings on the Science of Happiness worldwide. Her research focuses on the critical role that prosocial experience and behavior and social connection play in well-being. Emiliana serves as an expert voice on social and emotional intelligence, genuine happiness, and the most promising practical approaches to fostering stronger, more meaningful social bonds.
