Aurelio, Founder and Creative Director of Svaram, is a multifaceted sound explorer: musician, educator, ethno-
musicologist, researcher, sound designer, and sound healer.
His love and passion for music initiated an inner and outer unending journey of sound experimentation as well as
developing and creating innovative instruments that led to the birth of Svaram Musical Instruments, Vocational
Training and Research Station in 2003.
Conceived initially as a social development and craft project, Svaram has evolved into a community enterprise and
collaborative research ground for sound pioneers from all over the world.
Now he is leading SVARAM’s expansion into the Center for Crafts, Art, and Science of Sound.
Aurelio offers workshops, training, and seminars worldwide in “integral sound studies and practices”.
